Урок на замену? Читаем стишки
В конце года часто бывают неожиданные изменения в расписании и замены. Отличную идею такого урока английского предлагает Ольга СВЕНЦИЦКАЯ:
Всем нам, учителям, знакомо легкое состояние паники, когда нужно срочно пойти на замену, а у детей в этот день нет английского, они без учебников, и вот идешь к ним с пустыми руками. Что делать, что делать-то? Но есть в рукаве кое-что спасительное. Могу поделиться.
Существует некий стишок, грустная эпитафия. Пишем на доске:
Here lies young and handsome John Gay
Who used to smoke five packs a day.
He started smoking when he was…
И тут начинаются вариации. Подставляем возраст, находим рифму. Дети, как я заметила, намного изобретательней в таких случаях, чем взрослые. Пробовала эту штуку на учителях, но те только руками разводили и конфузились.
Все не помню, потому что обычно некогда записывать, но вот кое-что осталось в памяти.
He started smoking when he was eleven.
Where is he now?—He is in heaven.
He started smoking when he was eleven.
I wish he were happy here, not in heaven.
He started smoking when he was ten.
Pity, he will never do it again.
He started smoking when he was ten.
He is wishing now he could do it again.
He started smoking when he was nine.
He was sure he would always feel fine.
He started smoking when he was eight.
He is standing now at the heaven’s gate.
He (had) lost his looks, he (had) lost his weight.
St Peter is telling him: stand here and wait.
I wouldn’t wish my worst enemy such a fate.
He tried to give up, but it was too late.
I wouldn’t meet a similar fate.
He started smoking when he was seven.
I wish he were happy here, not in heaven.
He hadn’t lived till the age of eleven.
He started smoking when he was six.
That caused the trouble he couldn’t fix.
He started smoking when he was five.
For a very short while he managed to thrive.
He started smoking when he was four.
I wish I could tell you a bit more.
He is knocking now at the heaven’s door.
He started smoking at the age of three.
Let it be a lesson for you and me.
His grave is under a beautiful tree.
He started smoking at the age of two.
Let it be a lesson for me and you.
He enjoyed smoking and drinking too.
He started smoking at the age of one.
He tried to fight but the devil won.
Один ученик предложил: "Давайте скажем: "Какой болван!""
Ни разу эти упражнения не подвели. Хохот по мере умаления возраста обычно возрастает.
